Jaheda Khatun, mother of Abid Hossain, Chittagong court correspondent of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha died of old-age complications in Chittagong on Tuesday last. She was 93.
She left behind six sons, one daughter and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
After Namaz-e-Janaza, she was buried at Chotynogoli graveyard in Kotwali thana in Chittagong.
Meanwhile, Chittagong Press Club President Ali Abbas and General Secretary (GS) Suklal Das in a statement expressed deep shocked at the death of Jaheda and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
