A musician of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra Subrata Sengupta died at a city hospital on Tuesday. He had been suffering from prostate cancer.
Sengupta left behind wife, two sons and a huge number of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor expressed his profound shock at the death of the renowned lyricist.
In a condolence message, the minister prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
