Abul Hashem Mian, a former senior government official, died at a city hospital on Sunday. He was 85.
He had been sufferings from diabetes and respiratory problem.
Hashem, who hailed from Bajanpara village under Naria upazila in
Shariatpur, left behind two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and
admirers to mourn his death. He was buried at Azimpur Graveyard in the city after Namaz-e-
Janaza at Gabtola Jame Mosque in Zigatala after Asr prayers on Sunday.
