Shipra Mondol, wife of Ajit Kumar Sarker, a senior journalist of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), died at a hospital in Kolkata on Thursday afternoon. She was 55.
She left behind husband, a son, well-wishers and host of relatives to mourn her death.
Family sources said Shipra, Managing Director of Tathyaseba Barta Sangstha (TSB), breathed her last at 1:30 pm (local time) while undergoing treatment at Rabindranath Tagore Hospital in the capital of Indian state of West Bengal.
She was suffering from kidney related diseases for long time.
Her funeral was held at Kewratola crematorium in Kolkata on Friday.
