Abul Hossain, an elderly journalist and academic, died of a heart attack at his residence in Joypurhat on Wednesday evening at the age of 75. Hossain, also a former president of Joypurhat Press Club and a professor of Joypurhat Government College, had been suffering from diabetes and hypertension since long.
He left behind wife, five daughters and a large number of relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death. He was laid to eternal rest at Tetultoli graveyard on Wednesday night after a namaj-e-janaza at Kendriya Eidgah Maidan of Joypurhat town.
