Retired Additional Income Tax Commissioner Taslim Uddin Ahmed died of old-age complications on Tuesday morning at his Uttara residence. He was 72.
Ahmed, father of International Crimes Tribunal senior prosecutor Barrister Tureen Afroz, was suffering from different ailments for last couple of months.
He left behind wife, a son and a daughter, host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
Ahmed’s first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Uttara Sector-3 mosque after Asr prayers.
He will be buried at his ancestral graveyard at village Kawradangi in Nilphamari today.
