Chhaya Das Gupta, mother-in-law of senior sports journalist of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Swapan Basu, died of a cardiac arrest at Central Hospital in the city on Sunday morning. She was 80.
Chhaya Das Gupta is survived by only daughter, a host of relatives and well-wishers.
Her funeral was held at Phullasri under Agailjhara upazila of Barisal district on Sunday evening.
