Abdur Rashid, veteran language hero and leader of National Awami Party (NAP) died of old-age complications at his Goddanarayanpur residence in Sherpur on Thursday morning.
He was 84.
He left behind one son, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Before his burial at Chapatali Municipal Graveyard, the Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Eidgah Maidan.
