Mirza Shahid Mahmud, a valiant freedom fighter (FF), died of old-age complications at his Sheikh Para residence in Chuadanga on Thursday. He was 77.
He left behind his wife, two daughters, two brothers and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The Namaz-e-Janaza of the deceased was held on Shilpakala Academy premises in the town on Friday.
He was laid to rest at local Jannatul-Maula graveyard after Juma Prayers with full state honour.
