Abdur Rauf, a valiant freedom fighter, died of a prolonged illness at his Kafrikhal village residence under Madarkhali union in Rangpur on Tuesday morning. He was 65.
He left behind his wife, one son, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was buried at his family graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza held at the village with full state honour.
