Former president of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and City Editor of Daily Inqilab Sakhawat Hossain Badsha’s mother Shamsun Nahar died of old age complications at her residence at East Rampura at 4am on Wednesday. She was 72.
She left behind three sons, four daughters, relatives, well-wishers and admirers to mourn her death.
She was buried at Azimpur Graveyard after her namaz-e-janaza was held at Salambagh mosque at East Rampura. DRU president Shahed Chowdhury and General Secretary Ilias Khan expressed profound shock at her death.
They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
