Popular actor of present generation Obid Rehan acted in a movie after 12 years. Under the direction of Shafiul Azam Obid Rehan again acted in a liberation war based movie titled Udiyoman Surjo. He played in role of a Pakistani major in the film. He has already finished 50 per cent shooting of the movie. In 2004, he earlier acted in movie Joyjatra under Tauquir Ahmed’s direction.
While talking about his career Obid Rehan told this correspondent, “I am lucky that I have worked in two movies which stories are based on liberation war. I am grateful to Tauquir Bhai to give me the first scope to work in his movie. I am also grateful to Shafiul Azam Bhai. I hope viewers will enjoy my new movie.”
Obid Rehan is an actor of present generation. He has made his basic of acting strongly by working in theatre plays. He started his acting career through Theatre Centre in 1997. In 2000, he acted with theatre group, Natyakendra.
In his career, his mother, brother and friend Tariq Sujat inspired him most in acting. Rahmatullah Tuhin, Sokal Ahmed and Kaiser Ahmed gave him opportunity to act in their plays. To work in Zahid Hasan’s serial Lal Neel Beguni was his one of the achievements in his career, Obid mentioned.
Aroj Charitamrito, Projapoti, Dalim Kumar, Protisoron and Bichchhu were his acted mentionable theatre plays. Today is his birthday.
