The Washington Times :
Americans were most likely to name President Obama as the man they most admire in 2016, with President-elect Donald Trump finishing in second place, according to a Gallup survey released Wednesday.
Twenty-two percent picked Mr. Obama, with 15 percent naming Mr. Trump. Next was Pope Francis at 4 percent and Sen. Bernard Sanders at 2 percent. It’s the ninth straight year Mr. Obama was named the most admired man in Gallup’s survey, though the 7-point margin is the narrowest since he was first elected president.
In the 70 years Gallup has asked the question, the incumbent president has won 58 times, according to Gallup’s Jeffrey M. Jones. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who lost to Mr. Trump in the presidential election, was named the “Most Admired Woman” for the 15th straight year and 21st time overall.
