The newly- elected mayor and the councilors of Chittagong City Corporation will take oath today at Dhaka at the office of the Prime Minister. Chief Executive Officer of CCC Kazi Shafiul Alam confirmed the matter to media yesterday.
Mentionable that newly- elected city mayor of CCC AJM Nasirusddin called on Prime Minister at Gonobhavan in Dhaka on Monday .
Sources said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will administer the oath of city Mayor while the Minister for LGRD Syed Ashraful Islam will swear to councilors.
The city corporation election was held on April 28 last and the gazette was published on April 30 .
