There is still an acceptability of Nuton as an actress among the viewers in the country’s film arena. Still now her presence on the screen creates hype among the audience with something exceptional.
Nuton’s glamorous presence on the screen, outstanding acting skill and overall heroine like attitude always impress the viewers. That Nuton besides acting also produced movies.
Nuton mentioned that if the present situation is changed she will return to film production again. Under the banner of her own production house, B N Production movies like Kabin, Chand Suruj, Ruper Rani Gaan-er Raja, Nachey Nagin, Shotru Dhongsho, etc were produced. For the last few years, she has been totally detached with film production.
While talking in this regard Nuton told this correspondent, “In fact, the present condition to produce film is not favourable right now in the country. Number of hall is less than 300. Film business is not profitable now. If the situation improves, I will again produce movies.”
But Nuton is very regular in acting still now. Recently she has finished shooting of Shahadat Hossain Liton’s movie Ahonkar. She acted in role of heroine Bubly’s mother which is mentionable character.
“In a movie, there must have hero and heroine, I have no objection in this regard. If anybody wants to cast me my role must have significance in the story of the film. Otherwise there is no need to cast me. Basically I am a simple minded person. So my demands are very simple and general,” Nuton said.
In big screen, Nuton started her acting career through Mostafa Mehmud directed movie Notun Probhat. She was one of the mentionable actresses of Bangladesh’s first Liberation War based movie late Chashi Nazrul Islam directed Ora 11 Jon. Later she was absent from acting for few days. Then she again returned to acting through Razzak’s movie Pagla Raja. She got the National Film Award for acting in movie Strir Pawna.
Meanwhile, within very short time Nuton will start shooting of Shah Md Sangram’s a movie, she said.
