Nusrat Jahan, who was admitted to a city hospital with respiratory distress on Sunday night, was discharged on Monday evening and it puts the ongoing drug overdose rumours to bed.
A medical team was formed for her treatment after the Bengali actress turned politician was admitted to the hospital at around 9:30pm on Sunday. “She suffers from an asthma problem and uses inhaler. However, the problem became a little serious on Sunday, and using inhaler couldn’t comfort her. But she is absolutely fine now,” a source close to the actress revealed as she was released on Monday evening after her condition was stable. About the ongoing speculation, the source added these are baseless and they have been rejected on behalf of the family already.
On Sunday, the couple had a great family time celebrating her husband Nikhil Jain’s birthday. Jahan had even posted on Instagram a photo of their celebrations.
However, after Nusrat was admitted to the ICU, speculation was rife that she has either suffered a drug overdose, a drug allergy or has consumed sleeping pills.
