Nurse detained with child released from police custody and admitted at hospital after agitation procession of nurses association held abstaining from duty at SBMCH on Thursday late night.
On the other hand, Md. Shah Alam, husband of the nurse Eliza Begum, sent to Jail on Friday noon under section 54.
The hospital’s director (In-Charge) ABM Kadir, acknowledged the facts.
Earlier, Nurses’ Association started agitation rally at the hospital abstaining from duty from 8:00 PM Thursday demanding immediate release of their detained colleague Eliza and her child.
Police rushed to the hospital immediately and after talking with the nurses association leaders agreed to release Eliza with her child as no case was lodged in this connection.
However, Md. Shah Alam, husband of the staff nurse Eliza Begum, was remained under police custody at Barisal Kotwali police station as SBMCH authourity lodged a generall diary in connection of the incident, said Farhad Sardar, assistant commissioner of Barisal Metropolitan Police.
