A Dhaka court sent three associates of former DUCSU Vice-President Nurul Haque Nur to the jail on completion of two-day remand in a rape case filed with Lalbagh Police Station of the city on the charge of assisting rape incident.
On Monday Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mandal of the CMM Court of Dhaka passed the order.
The accused are Joint Secretaries of Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad Md Saiful Islam and Nazmul Hasan Sohag and Vice-President of DU unit
of the Parishad Md Nazmul Huda. They were placed on the remand on December 3.
Detective Branch of police sought a five-day remand for each accused, but the court granted two days’ remand each. The victim, a Dhaka University student filed the rape case on September 20. Besides, she filed another case against the same accused on September 21.
