Nur, Yasin expelled from AL

Narayanganj Correspondent :Siddirganj Thana Unit of Bangladesh Awami League has relieved its vice president Nur Hossain and general secretary Yasin Miah from all activities of the party for their suspected involvement in the Narayanganj seven murders.The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the thana unit of AL with its president Hazi Mojibur Rahman in the chair. The meeting also recommended expulsion of the two leaders from the party. Nur Hossain is the prime accused in the murder case while Yasin also stands another accused in the case. Ruling party on Saturday also suggested ouster of its General Secretary Haji Yasin Miah, who also stands accused in the murder case. Siddhirganj thana AL chief Hazi Mojibur Rahman told reporters that recommendations for their expulsion were made at a meeting of the unit in the afternoon. He said the duo would be kept out of all organisational activities. The Narayanganj metropolitan committee has also been informed, Hazi Mojibur Rahman said.
