Manir Hossain, Narayanganj Correspondent :Nur Hossain, the prime accused of seven murder in Narayanganj, had committed the crime in connivance with some officials of the local administration, a man said yesterday during a mass hearing on the gruesome crime.Shahin Azad, one of the six witnesses who gave depositions before a seven-member government probe committee, also said Nur, the prime accused, is loyal to local Awami League lawmaker Shamim Osman.Azad talked to the media after his deposition at Narayanganj Circuit House yesterday afternoon.”Motives behind the murders will become clear if the alleged law enforcers are interrogated,” Azad told the probe body.The probe body headed by Md Shahjahan Ali Mollah, additional secretary, Ministry of Public Administration, recorded the depositions six persons on the first day of its two-day mass hearing held at Narayanganj Circuit House. The hearing will resume on Thursday. Abdus Salam, brother of Narayanganj city Ward Counsillor Nazrul Islam, has requested the investigation committee to hold the next public hearing in Siddhirganj.He made the request to the committee at the circuit house on Monday afternoon.Abdus Slam told the probe body that the people of Siddhirganj are feeling insecure to come in Narayanganj.”Moreover, most people are avoiding the deposition in fear of being covered by the television camera,” he said.Probe body sources said, the six persons included Advocate Muzibur Rahman 45, Advocate Rassel 35,Shaeen Azad 32,Jalauddin 29,Nur Hossain Munna 42 and Abul Kashem 35 gave deposition over the seven murder case.Additional secretary Md Shahjahan Ali Mollah while briefing the media men said, that many people who wanted to testify did not turn up due to insecurity and fear.Soon after the mass hearing began, Sakhawat Hossain, president of Narayanganj Ainjibi Samity, met with the investigators during the hearing and alerted them about people of the killers, who can go to them in guise of common people.They can give wrong statement before the committee to conceal the fact, Hossain said.Panel Mayor of Narayanganj city corporation Nazrul and senior lawyer Advocate Chandan kumer Sarker and five others were abducted on April 27 and decomposing bodies were found floating on Sitalakhya River on April 30.
