Staff Reporter :The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked Nur Hossain, prime accused in Narayanganj seven-murder case to submit his wealth statement to the commission within seven working days.The ACC sent a notice in this connection to Nur Hossain at Kashimpur jail -2 in Gazipur district on Tuesday. The commission also sent another notice to Nur Hossain’s residence seeking wealth statement of his wife.There is an allegation that a truck helper Nur Hossain became a millionaire with the blessings of political parties.The ACC started inquiry into the wealth of Nur Hossain when he fled the country after Narayanganj seven murders.Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) filed a case with Siddhirganj Police Station in 2010 against Nur Hossain on charge of collecting sands from Sitalakkhya River defying court’s order. According to the case, Nur Hossain threatened the government officials, who tried to stop his illegal work, and he grabbed huge land from the riverbank. The police conducted drive at least eight to 10 times to recover the land, but returned empty-hand as Nur Hossain and his men resisted. Nur Hossain also collected money from trucks and passenger buses in the Narayanganj area, the case sources said. He provided drugs to the drug peddlers in different points of the Narayanganj city.
