Over 200 doctors have been infected with coronavirus so far in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Doctors Foundation confirmed it on Monday morning.
Number of doctors working in government, private and specialised hospitals are infected with the virus has crossed 200 today (Monday),” Nirupam Das, Chief Administrator of the foundation, told journalists.
Besides, about 150 healthcare workers including nurses were infected with the virus so far in the country.
He stated that low quality personal protective equipment, community transmission and patients hidings of coronavirus infection symptoms are the main reasons behind the doctors infection with Covid-19.
A doctor of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital was died after infecting with Covid-19 recently.
