Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) has commemorated the 44th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by hosting a meeting and a special prayer. The program was held at the auditorium of NUB on last Tuesday, says a press release.
The discussion session was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of NUB, Prof Dr Anwar Hossain. Nazrul Islam Khan, Curator of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum attended the event as chief guest while Prof Dr Abu Yosuf Md. Abdullah, Chairman of the NUB Trust attended as the guest of honour.
Chief guest Nazrul Islam Khan portrayed Bangabandhu as a strong, visionary and beloved leader. He said, “We got this independent Bangladesh for the sake of Bangabandhu’s power of foreshadowing. The untimely death of Bangabandhu is a great loss for the country.”
