The Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) on Sunday observed the 98th birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on its Banani campus.
The NUB organized essay competition, art competition and a discussion to mark the day.
Chairman of NUB Trust Professor Dr. Abu Yousuf Md Abdullah was present at the programme as the chief guest while Vice-Chancellor of NUB Professor Dr Anowar Hossain presided over it.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor of NUB Dr Anwarul Karim, Treasurer Anowar Hossain, Director of Development and International Affairs Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui and Registrar Md Rashidul Islam were present there, as the special guests.
Deans from different caculties, departmental heads, teachers, administrative staff and students were present the programme, among others.
Professor Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah said, “We pay our highest respect to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for his outstanding contribution to make this land independent. It was impossible to bring independence without role.”
