A memorandum of agreement (MoA) was signed between Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) and University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) on Wednesday. On behalf of NUB the signing ceremony was attended by Prof Dr Md. Abu Yusuf Mohammad Abdullah, Chairman, NUB Trust, Prof Dr Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor, Lt Col (Retd) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui, Registrar, Prof Dr Mosharraf Hossain, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Prof Dr Engineer Md. Humayun Kabir, Dean of Science And Technology, Prof Abu Zayed Muhammad, Dean, Faculty of Law, Saad Al Jabir Abdullah, Director, IT, Head of the Department of General Education Prof Dr Kazi Shahadat Kabir Rimon and on behalf of UMP The Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof Dato’ Shri Ts Dr Daing Nasir Ibrahim, Prof Dr Kamal Jamli, Dean, Computer Systems and Software Engineering, Arafat Ur Rahman, Senior Lecturer, Computer System and Software Engineering, Senior Assistant Registrar Azarizulazmi Bin Bustan. teachers, officers and students of both the organizations were also present. Both the university’s vice-chancellors signed the agreement on behalf of their respective Universities.
Under this agreement, both universities will work jointly with the development of education, research, teachers and students and various issues related to education. Note that the University Malaysia Pahang is one of the largest public universities in Malaysia, which is located in Pahang, the largest state of the Malaysia Peninsula.
After the signing ceremony, a seminar was organized in the title ‘Globalising Malaysian Universities: A Case Study of UMP’. Prof Dato’ Shri Ts Dr Daing Nasir Ibrahim, Vice Chancellor of University of Malaysia Pahang presented the papers in this seminar.
