Northern University of Bangladesh (NUB) celebrated its 13th anniversary at its permanent campus located near the airport yesterday.
Presided over by Dr Anu Yousuf Md Abdullah, Chairman, Northern University Bangladesh Trust, the programme was attended by Annisul Haque, Mayor, Dhaka North City Corporation as Chief Guest.
The chief guest emphasised the need for obtaining knowledge for the development of a nation.
Dr Abdullah stated that in the era of globalization, NUB is continuing its efforts to modernize and digitize education. He also urged the students to contribute towards building a modern nation through information technology. Dr. AWM Abdul Haque, Acting VC, NUB, Prof. Dr. Anwarul Karim, Pro VC, NUB, Anwar Hussain, Treasurer, NUB, Lt. Col. (Retd.) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui, Registrar In- Charge, deans of the various programmes, heads of departments and teachers were also present.
