The question paper of English (Compulsory) subject for the Second Year Honours (2010-2011 Session) under National University was leaked just one day before the day of the examination.
The examination for the subject bearing Code No-9999 was held on Saturday in several hundred colleges under the university throughout the country. But the question paper with answers reached to many students through devices like email, facebook and SMS, it is alleged.
A syndicate including a section of teachers and students of different colleges and employees of the university are involved in the crime to make to some quick money, it is alleged.
They distribute the question paper with answers through SMS of mobile, email, facebook and also other ways, it is alleged.
This correspondent has gone through one SMS of the question paper from an examinee on Friday evening. Different questions with answers which were gathered on Friday from the student of Dhaka College, were found mostly identical to the question paper for the said examination on Saturday.
Several examinees of different colleges talking to this correspondent demanded cancellation of English (Compulsory) examination as its question paper was leaked on Friday.
Controller of Examination of the National University talking to this correspondent admitting the report of leakage of question paper said he had heard it from different sources.
 “I have also collected the leaked question paper,” he said. “Such incidents occurred also in the past. We will do our best to stop such practice in future”, he said.
Earlier, Dhaka Education Board suspended the examination schedule of English Second Paper of the HSC following allegation of leakage of the question paper.
