A Dhaka court on Tuesday sent NSU Professor Giasuddin Ahsan and two others to the jail on completion of their eight-day remand in connection with letting the teacher’s house to Gulshan attackers and concealing information.
Earlier, DB Inspector Humayun Kabir produced Professor Giasuddin and other two accused to the court with a prayer to send the accused to the court. Magistrate Noor Nahar Yasmin of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of
Dhaka passed the order. Other two accused persons are– Giasuddin’s nephew Alam Chowdhury and manager of the rented building Mahbubur Rahman.
On July 16, the accused teacher was arrested from his Bashundhara Area residence in connection with the incident. The following day, the Investigation Officer sought a 10-day remand to the court while the court granted an 8-day remand.
