NSU takes measures for stringent discipline on campus

The management of the North-South University (NSU) vehemently protested the false reports published in newspapers recently. NSU said the reports under the headlines like “Irregularities in North South University: 36 teachers quit job in eight months, students’ guardians enraged” is nothing but got up stories to dent the image of the university has taken various measures to maintain stringent discipline on the campus.
North-South University Trustee Board Chairman Benazir Ahmed said, any evil design from vested quarters can undo the continued progress and tarnish the image of the North-South University (NSU).
This is the best private university in Bangladesh and its fame and reputation spread far and wide in the subcontinent.
 Lion Benazir Ahmed told that the Trustee Board comprising the renowned industrial magnates and devoted patrons of education always strive hard to see the excellence of the university is not tarnished any this correspondent.
 World famous teachers are engaged here to impart quality teaching as well. The curriculum of this university is of equal standard with those of the universities of the developed countries.
The strict management and devotion of the highly capable teachers help build the younger generation as worthy citizens to face the global challenge that might confront them, he said.
 He said the environment of the campus is conducive to the proper growth of the latent faculties of the students better than that of any other university. The management has been trying for the last four years to build a new campus to cope with the continued pressure and demand. Meanwhile, 170 big has of land beside the Purbachal city has been purchased, registration of which will be done soon, for the purpose of the new campus.
All-round watch and alert is maintained here to avert any in toward incident and the activities of the university have been brought under strict discipline so that it can be turned in to a world-class university. Anti terror surveillance committee has been formed with the teachers to combat terrorism.
No guardian can enter into the campus without entry pass. Benazir said.
No student can henceforth enter the campus without valid identity card issued by the university. Residential campus is being built for the student in addition to the existing infrastructures, he said.
In connection to purchasing 250 big has of land for NSU at an abnormal price. Benazir refuted the reports published in different dailies and claimed those as false and fabricated. In fact the NSU is purchasing the land at a minimal price (Tk 10 lakh per katha).
 The Trustee Board of NSU approved 500 bighas of land purchasing at a cost of Tk 500 crore. The present campus of NSU was set up to accommodate 10,000 students but at present 17,000 students from both home and abroad are studying here, says Benazir Ahmed.
Within a very short span of time new residential campus will be set up after purchasing the rest of the land near Purbachal Rajuk Model Town, he said.
