NSU advance to ‘super eight’ beating SEU by 32 runs

North South University (NSU) moved to the ‘super eight’ stage of the 7th ULAB Fair Play Cup Inter-Private University T20 Cricket Tournament beating South East University (SEU) by 32 runs at the ULAB playground in Mohammadpur on Monday.
Sent into bat first, NSU scored 133 for 5 in stipulated 20 overs with Rakin scoring 36 runs off 41 balls.
In reply, SEU were all out for 101 runs in 17.1 overs.
Hridoy of NSU claimed two wickets for four runs in three overs and was adjudged man of the match.
Earlier in the day’s first match, Manarat International University (MIU) beat East West University (EWU) by 8 wickets at the same venue.
Batting first, EWU were all out for 113 runs in stipulated 20 overs.
Naimul of MIU captured three wickets.
In reply, MIU easily reached their target scoring 115 runs for two wickets in 17.2 overs.
Mashmur Rahman of MIU scored 56 runs off 53 balls to be adjudged man of the match.
Today’s matches: State University Bangladesh vs United International University (9:30 am), Independent University, Bangladesh vs BRAC University (1:30 pm).
