NRB Commercial (NRBC) Bank Limited started Shariah based Islamic Banking Window ‘Al Amin’ alongside conventional Banking services at a ceremony held at the bank’s head office in Dhaka on Monday.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md. Abdullah launched the bank’s Islamic Banking Window services as chief guest, while as Chairman of NRBC Bank SM Parvez Tamal presided over the ceremony.
NRBC Islamic Banking Window ‘Al Amin’ will provides its services in Principal Branch, Gulshan Branch, Rajshahi Branch, OR Nijam Road Branch in Chattogram, Barishal Branch, Khulna Branch, Rangpur Branch and Sylhet Branch.
Chairman and member of Shariah Supervisory Committee of NRBC Islamic Banking Window ‘Al Amin’ M Azizul Huq, Salina Islam, Shah Mohammad Wali Ullah, bank’s directors Mohammed Adnan Imam, A M Saidur Rahman, Loquit Ullah, Mohammed Manzurul Islam and AKM Mostafizur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO. Md. Mukhter Hossain, Additional Managing Director Kazi Md. Talha, Professor Syed Shajan, Chowdhury Fazle Imam, (Retd) Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar also attended the programme, among others.
While speaking at the programme State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md. Abdullah said, “Now-a-day’s Islamic Banking has played an important role in the economy.”
He hoped that NRBC Bank’s Islamic Banking Window ‘Al Amin’ will provide state- of-the-art Banking services.”
Chairman of Shariah Board of Islamic Banking Window `Al Amin’ M Azizul Huq said, customer will avail technology based services from the Islamic banking Window `Al Amin’. Chairman of NRBC Bank Parvez Tamal Said, “Al Amin’ NRBC Islamic Banking Window will strictly follow the compliances of the Shariah policy. He mentioned that the main goal of `Al Amin’ NRBC Islamic Banking Window is to help developing nations’ welfare economy. Head of the divisions of the Bank and officials of the ‘Al Amin’ were attended the programme.
