The day of the Assembly elections in West Bengal, India is approaching and the campaign is getting more and more thrilling. Even Tollywood stars are not lagging behind in the election field. Many popular faces are already involved in politics. Earlier, Tollywood actress Payel Sarkar joined BJP – now, Srabanti Chatterjee wrote her name in the same party.
The popular Tollywood actress, who is also a famous actress in Bangladesh, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the party of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday. She raised the party flag in the presence of BJP’s state president Dilip Ghosh and Kailash Vijayvargiya.
Joining the BJP, Srabanti said it was a brand new journey. “My goal is to rebuild the Bengal. I am very happy to join BJP. I follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Thanks to the BJP leaders for making me worthy.”
Earlier, actor Hiran Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh and actress Payel Sarkar joined BJP. Meanwhile, actress Saini Ghosh and actress Koushani Mukherjee have joined West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party.
