A day after giving instruction to mobile phone operators to slow down internet speed Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) on Monday directed them to keep internet service undisputed.
President of Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ASPAB) M A Hakim confirmed the matter on Monday morning.
As per the Sunday’s instruction, the operators slowed down internet speed for around ten minutes on Monday morning. Later, the speed became
normal again following the new instruction.
Earlier, on Sunday BTRC instructed mobile phone operators to curb the internet speed from 8 am to 10:30 am on the exam days from February 12 to February 24 and from 12 pm to 2:30 pm on February 18 in a bid to prevent question paper leakage during the ongoing School Certificate (SSC) examinations.
