A Narayanganj court yesterday (Thursday) sentenced Nur Hossain, a convict in the sensational Narayanganj seven murder case, to life-term imprisonment in an arms case filed in 2014.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Sabina Yasmin of Narayanganj handed down the verdict in presence of the convict.
According to the prosecution story in brief is that on May 15 in 2014, the law enforcers recovered a revolver, eight rounds of bullet and eight cartridges of rifle from the house of Nur Hossain at Shimrail area under Siddirganj Upazila of the district. Two cases were filed following the recovery of arms and ammunitions next day. Later, police submitted the charge sheet of the case to the court in the same year.
Examining the witnesses’ evidences, the court gave the order today.
Earlier, Nur Hossain, was produced in the court from Kashimpur Central Jail, said Public Prosecutor Salauddin Sweet.
