NOVOAIR, one of the premium airline brands in Bangladesh, launched domestic flight operations on Rajshahi-Dhaka-Rajshahi routes on Friday.
The superb ATR 72500 aircraft with 68 passengers took off from Shahmukhdum Airport in Rajshahi at about 4.30 pm. Starting from Dhaka, the airline will initially operate three flights weekly-Friday, Monday and Wednesday-on the routes.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the flight operation at Shahmukhdum Airport after cutting cake as the chief guest.
Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, Managing Director of Novoair Mofizur Rahman and Additional Commissioner of RMP Sarder Tamij Uddin were present on the occasion.
Earlier, US-Bangla Airlines Ltd, a new private airlines company, launched its domestic flights operations on Rajshahi-Dhaka-Rajshahi sector on July 11.
Besides, national flag-carrier Bangladesh Biman re-launched three weekly flights-Friday, Sunday and Tuesday-on the routes on April 7 last after a lapse of long eight years.
Novoair Managing Director Mofizur Rahman here told the journalists that the airlines arranged special transports equipped with Wi-Fi for passengers to and from Rajshahi.
