Novo Air , the private airline has started its flight operations on the Dhaka-Barisal-Dhaka route four days a week from Saturday April 2.
Novo Air is the seventh airline to start business on Dhaka-Barisal-Dhaka sector and third among the now operative three airlines.
The Novo Air flight scheduled to depart from Dhaka to Barisal at 10:45am every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and from Barisal at 11:45am the same day by 68-seater ATR-72-500 carrier with one way fare from Tk 3,200-5,000 for different classes.
A short inaugural ceremony held at Barisal Airport on Saturday morning on this occasion.
It was attended by Jebunnesa Afroj, AL lawmaker, Adv Tipu Sultan MP, lawmaker, Mafizur Rahman, managing director, Sohel Majid, head of marketing and sales, AKM Mahfuzul Alam, manager sales and marketing of NOVO AIR, Hanif Gazi, in charge of the airport and others.
Md. Arefin Islam, Marketing-in-Charge of the airline, said the airline authority arranged transport from and to airport for the passengers. Besides one complimentary ticket till April 30 with every purchase has been offered on occasion of starting operation on this sector.
