Viewers’ can easily recall the memories of 90s popular band group, Nova. Shakil Khan was its lead vocalist. Under his voice some popular songs like Sojoni sajer-o tara hoye aamar akash-e eley, Dyuti aamar bhalo laga ektukhani and Rakhal chhele rakhal chhele ektu darao created hype among the music lovers of the 90s. Later under this band Shakil also performed in many shows. He last performed in a stage show in 1991. Then he started his job and couldn’t return to music. Sometimes he has to render songs to keep requests in homely programmes.
Shakil is again coming with his new solo album after 25 years. Title of the album is … 25 Bochhor Por. Laser Vision will release the album on December 25. Shahid Mahmud Jongi wrote three songs of the album.
Shakil started his music career by his father Md Nuruzzaman during childhood who is still alive. Shakil dedicated the album to his father.
While sharing his feelings to return to music after long time Shakil told this correspondent, “My brother Shipar Khan, sister Jakia Khan Chandana are also attached with music. I was brought up in a cultural oriented family. My mother Fatema Anwar is my main inspiration in music. I love melodious songs. For this reason, I have rendered these songs to keep in mind the listeners’ choices. I hope music lovers will enjoy the songs.”
