Sector Commanders Forum has urged the government to declare November 7 as the Day of Killing of freedom fighters. It was demanded at a discussion meeting organized by Sector Commanders Forum, Chattogram District and Metro unit on the Dost Building Office premises on Saturday afternoon.
Speakers at the meeting called for the formation of an independent commission of inquiry into the November 7, 1975 massacre of freedom fighters in the name of ‘Sepoy Janata Biplob’ and demanded the true history of the incident to public.
Central Co-Organizing Secretary Bedarul Alam Chowdhury Bedar was the chief guest at the meeting chaired by Sarfaraz Khan Chowdhury Babul and conducted by District General Secretary Noor Alam Siddiqui.
At the beginning of the meeting, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of Major Khaled Musharraf, all martyred freedom fighters, army officers and innocent civilians.
