Staff Reporter :A student of Notre Dame College has committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan at Motijheel Colony (AGB Colony) in the city on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman, (19), son of Ramzan Ali of Bozrobala village under Shahjadpur Upazila in Sirajganj. He was HSC appeared student of Dhaka’s Notre Dame College, and a University admission-seeker. He has been living in a rented room at Building No-48 of Ideal Zone of the AGB Colony. Inhabitants of the colony said that Mizan returnedfrom Sirajganj on Friday after celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr in his village home. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room in the morning. They informed the matter to police. Later, police recovered the body breaking the door of his room, and sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.Police sources said that Mizan committed suicide at his room by hanging himself with bed-sheet centering love affairs. He had an affair allegedly with a girl in Sirajganj. The girl promised to marry him. But, she got married with another person on Friday. For this reason, Mizan became upset and took the decision of committing suicide, the police added.
