Eminent author Samaresh Majumdar, famous for works like Satkahon, Tero Parbon, Ujan Ganga and Victoria’r Bagan has been admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Kolkata, following breathing problems. There is a serious infection in his respiratory system, as the author has gone through multiple tests in the hospital. He has also been tested for Covid-19, for which the result is yet to be announced. The author fell sick earlier this year, undergoing ventilation at one point. Born in 1942 in the town of Gairkata, Samaresh Majumdar is famous for his short stories, novels, travelogues and children’s fiction.
