‘Notarybd.com’ wins Nat’l Digital Award-21

Barrister M. Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury has been awarded as the First and Sole Inventor for the ‘Solution of Electronic Document Notarization using E-notarization Tools and innovative digital platform Notarybd.com’ Barrister Chy hails from Chattogram in a respectable family.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was present as chief guest through video conferencing at the inauguration and award distribution ceremony on the occasion of 5th Digital Bangladesh Day, 2021 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Sunday last and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak handed over the medal and certificate to the winner Barrister MRI Chowdhury on behalf of the Prime Minister.
Barrister Chowdhury said to the New Nation about his achievement that the national and state reorganization as an inventor and the innovative digital platform Notarybd.com is the result of his relentless research over the past 8 years which he deserved and which brings the notary service from paper-based method to paperless future to implement the digital Bangladesh. He brings the notarization service within the fingertips of the Notary Publics and their clients. He said, the uniqueness of his invention is using innovative Quality and application of Technology in which includes Asymmetric Key Cryptography Method, Digital Signature technology, two factors authentication, various rigorous process, two way live audio-video virtual notarial session using self-developed WEBRTC tools and technology, cloud-based storage and backup in order to secure and ensure innovation, quality, viability, scalability, interoperability, compatibility, sustainability, security and reliability of online e-notarization technology, solution and service. The great advantages of online e-notarization and his solution saves valuable time, resources, travel cost of public and also to prevent identity fraud, fake seal and signature of the notary public and notarized document tampering.
 His invention has both substantial merit and national importance which would certainly ensure prompt and e-delivery of notarization services online to Bangladeshi, Non-Resident Bangladeshi Citizens, Visa Applicants, Foreign Embassies / Immigration Departments, Public and Private Sectors through maximum use of e-notarization tools and technology, with the ultimate goal being the overall improvement of the daily life style of general people and service method for the national interest of digital Bangladesh.
It is to be noted that Digital Bangladesh Day-2021 is being celebrated through various programmes in the District-Upazilas and Bangladesh embassies abroad with the theme of ‘Digital Bangladesh-er-Orjan, Upokrito Sokol Jonogan (The achievement of Digital Bangladesh: All the people are benfited)’. On 12 December 2008, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced a programme to build a Digital Bangladesh.
