A-three member delegation from Northumbria University Newcastle led by Barrister William Ralston, Acting Director, Bar Course Programme, Northumbria University Newcastle called on UGC Chairman (State Minister) Professor Dr A K Azad Chowdhury at the latter’s office on Wednesday.
The other members of delegation are Christopher P Mitford, Senior Lecturer, Northumbria Law School, Northumbria University Newcastle and Barrister Khaled Hiamid Chowdhury, Head of Laws, London College of Legal Studies South.
They discussed about distance learning and Cross Border Higher Education of Bangladesh and Northumbria University Newcastle.
UGC Chairman said that UGC had been trying to expand academic and research collaboration with the foreign universities for internationalization of higher education over the years. Presently, enrollment at tertiary level in Bangladesh is almost 3.1 million.
UGC Members- Professor Dr Abul Hashem, Professor Dr Md. Akhtar Hossain, UGC Secretary Dr Md. Khaled and Dr Md. Lutfe Alam, Director, Research Support and Publication, UGC, among the others, were present on the occasion.
