Sports Reporter :North South University became champions in the men’s team event of the 8th Inter-Private University Table Tennis Tournament when they edged past United International University (UIU) by 3-2 sets in the final at the Auditorium of UIU on Thursday.Earlier, Vice-Chancellor of UIU Professor Dr Md Rezwan Khan inaugurated the table tennis meet as the chief guest while General Manager of Fakir Knitwear’s Limited AK Shamsul Arefin was with him as the special guest. A total of nine private universities are taking part in the three-day long table tennis competition. They are: Host United International University, North South University, State University of Bangladesh, Daffodil International University, Bangladesh University of Business & Technology, BRAC University, Independent University of Bangladesh, Eastern University and University of Liberal Arts of Bangladesh.A total of 60 participants are competing in the knock out basis table tennis tournament.
