Former Minister and Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member Suranjit Sengupta said here on Friday that normalcy will be restored within a week as a total war has been launched against terrorism in the country.
“The subversive activities have already declined. The country will come back to normalcy within a week as we are now in a total war against anarchy and subversive activities being run in the name of movement,” he said while addressing a discussion as the chief guest.
Bangabandhu Academy organized the discussion at Diploma Engineers Institute with its Organising Secretary Sazzad Hossain in the chair. Among others, Joint General Secretary of Dhaka City AL Hazi Md Selim spoke on the occasion.
Holding responsible BNP-Jamaat alliance for the recent violence, he said.
“Our stance is now clear. The nation is now on one side while the criminals are on the other side. Democracy means the spirit of Liberation War and there is no scope to compromise in case of democracy and the Constitution.”
“The characteristic of BNP has changed as it has now turned into a terrorist group in guise of a political party,” he opined.
