Academic and administrative activities of Chittagong University returned to normalcy on Monday with the withdrawal of a blockade program enforced by a faction of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
Shahriar Sourav, former vice president of BCL and leader of Bijoy group, said they decided to withdraw the blockade upon assurance from acting Vice-Chancellor Pror Dr Shirin Akhter on Sunday night.
BCL faction ‘Bijoy Group’ called a blockade on the campus demanding expulsion of Rezaul Haque Rubel, leader of CFC Group.
Acting VC Prof Dr Shirin Akhter told journalists that the allegations of the students will be investigated.Refusing the allegation of occupying university’s residential halls, theacting VC said academic activities of the university will continue smoothly.
