Nora Fatehi has come a long way. From being an accomplished belly dancer in Canada to transforming into a hard-core commando for her debut film Roar: Tigers Of The Sundarbans, the experience has been surreal. She said, “When I met director Kamal Sadanah for the first time, he showed me one of the test shots they had done for Roar, it blew me away. And that’s the moment I knew, I just had to be a part of this amazing project.” On her role in the film, she said, “My character CJ is one hardcore commando. She behaves like one of the guys though if one looks at her they can see a mix of beauty, brains and brawn.” The entire crew of Roar, was put through some intense training in order to learn how to work like a commando team and handle weapons professionally. For Nora, this was an eye opener. “As a dancer I always thought I was fit but I never knew I could push my body to this limit. We would end the day bruised, tired and hurt, but in ultimately, it was worth it,” Nora said. Rubaru, a track from the film, which features her, is already garnering a lot of praise. Roar: Tigers Of The Sundarbans, produced by Abis Rizvi, releases on October 31. -Entertainment Desk
