None to be spared for financial irregularity: Anisul

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said none would be spared for loan default and financial irregularity.
“Government’s stand against such irregularities is evident. Those who are guilty, will be brought to justice. None is above the law and this is the policy of the government. Anti-Corruption Commission and law enforcement agencies are also aware of it,” he said.
The minister came up with the observations while talking to newsmen after addressing the inaugural function of 139th refreshers’ course for Additional District and Sessions Judge and equivalent officials at Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) in the capital.
Presided over by JATI Director General Justice Khandaker Musa Khaled, the function was addressed by law secretary Abu Saleh Sheikh Md Zahirul Haque and JATI director Dr Sheikh Golam Mahbub.
While replying question of a journalist, the law minister said the process of formulating law to appoint judges at the High Court, is going on.
“I have said it earlier, I am saying it again, you will get the law by the end of this year,” he added.
Urging the judges to remain very alert while conducting trial of graft cases, Anisul said the present government has adopted zero tolerance policy against corruption and it would provide all necessary support to them in this regard.
