The Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Friday whoso ever gets casino money will not be treated leniently.
The Road, Transport and Bridges Minister said, none will be spared if anyone is found involved with casino games.
“The law enforcing agencies are investigating as to who got money from illegal casino business. If anyone, regardless of social status and political identity, gets money from casino business, he or she won’t be spared,” he warned.
He cautioned all while replying to reporters’
queries after he laid the foundation stone of Sylhet zonal office of the Roads and Highways Department.
The ongoing purification drives are being conducted against the wrongdoers of their party. Whoso is involved with tender manipulation, extortion and corruption using the banner of the party and thus tarnished the party image will be punished.
Asked about the allegations against police and administration, the minister said, “None will be spared regardless of political color, and official status. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to bring the wrongdoers to the book and take stern actions against them irrespective of identities.”
