State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury on Sunday said nobody will be allowed to do politics using religion as a tool as the country is being run upholding spirit of War of Liberation and secularism.
“The country is being run inspired by the spirit of Liberation War and non-communalism. No communal force can destroy it. Moreover, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has started anti-graft drive to get rid of corruption, drug and terrorism from the country,” he said.
The state minister stated this while addressing a function to distribute government grants among authorities of different puja mandaps in Biral upazilla, in the Dinajpur district.
A total Taka 8.46 was distributed among authorities of 94 Puja-mandaps.
With Upazila Nirbahi Officer ABAM Rowshan Kabir in the chair, the programme was addressed, among others, by local Puja Udzapan Parishad convenor Ramakanto Ray, its member secretary and Biral Central Durga Temple president journalist Subal Chandra Roy.
