Non government teachers who teach honours and masters on Tuesday formed a human chain on the premises of the office of the deputy commissioners of Jashore to press their demand of enrolment as monthly payment order (MPO).
They also handed over a memorandum to the deputy commissioner in favour of their demand.
The human chain was attended by Tariqul Islam, convener, Jashore district unit of Non-government College Honours- Masters Teachers Federation, Jasim Uddin, member secretary, Tariqul Islam Taru, Harun-ar- Rashid, Abdul Kuddus, Jahangir Hossain and Runa Parvin.
In the human chain, the speakers told that they are unfed for around 28 years as their names were not enrolled in the row of monthly payment order as there no rules and regulations of their employment since 1993 after opening of honours and masters classes under National University.
